Clinical Supervision & Consultation

Woman working hard and taking notes to grow her career

Clinical Supervision and Consultation is a collaborative space for clinicians who want to continue growing their confidence, skills, and clinical judgement. I support both your development as a therapist and your long term career direction.

We focus on case conceptualization, ethical reasoning, and building confidence in clinical decision making. Clinical Supervision and Consultation also includes space for private practice planning, strengthening your voice, and ongoing reflection as you shape your style as a clinician.

My supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and focused on strengthening your clinical judgement. We look at how you understand your cases and what informs your decisions, not just which intervention you choose. The goal is to help you feel more confident, intentional, and steady in your work over time.

I offer supervision and consultation to pre-licensed and licensed clinicians in Rhode Island and Connecticut. I provide supervision and consultation, drawing on years of experience as a team lead and mentoring therapists in agency settings. Options include one-time consultation, short-term, or ongoing supervision.

You might be…

  • A pre-licensed therapist seeking supervision to fulfill licensure hours while also strengthening clinical confidence and reasoning
  • Wanting consultation for complex cases or to refine clinical judgement, including strategies for ethical dilemmas and nuanced clinical decisions
  • Interested in exploring career direction, clinical voice, professional identity, and approach while integrating personal values into your professional work
  • Navigating countertransference and emotional strain from trauma work or challenging relational dynamics with patients
  • Building or growing a private practice and seeking practical guidance for business, workflow, or patient management rather than generic advice
  • Seeking reflective discussion and mentorship to enhance clinical decision making, problem solving, and confidence in complex cases

In supervision and consultation, we can…

  • Strengthen clinical reasoning, case conceptualization, clinical judgement, and learn how to apply theory to practice

  • Structure sessions to your needs and ensure each session is practical, actionable, and tailored to your professional goals

  • Increase awareness of relational patterns and cultivate intentional and reflective use of self with patients

  • Explore trauma informed and culturally aware frameworks while avoiding pathologizing language that respects patients’ experience

  • Support documentation practices, ethical decision making, professional growth, and licensure and exam preparation

  • Provide a reflective and supportive space to increase clinical confidence, problem-solve challenges, and further meaningful professional development

I will also send paperwork for you to complete before your first appointment. If you would prefer to start with a free 15-minute consultation, that is always an option.

  • The first appointment focuses on getting to know each other and identifying what you would like to work on. We will talk about your professional development goals and tailor the work accordingly. If I believe your needs would be better supported elsewhere, I will be honest and provide referrals. In ongoing sessions, we will work toward your goals and adjust as needed.
